Normative humanism as redemptive critique

Michael Thompson

pp. 37-58

It is unfortunate that Erich Fromm's work has been marginalized in contemporary social and political theory, not to mention the empirical studies of social and political psychology. His various studies into the social-psychological character of modern individuals as well as his explorations into the dynamics of the personality system under the conditions of modern capitalist society remains an accomplishment of insight second to none.
