(2018) Computational models of rhythm and meter, Dordrecht, Springer.
This chapter presents a model for asymmetric rhythmic sentences on the basis of integer partitions and combinatorics. It has been implemented into chunking's sentence method. The model uses a technique, which subdivides a series of pulses into smaller and smaller sections until what is left are so-called rhythmic chunks. These are the binary or ternary cells that are found in Greek verse rhythms, for example, and which are represented by symbols in SNMR (see Chap. 3, Sect. class="ExternalRef"> 3.4.3).
