(2013) On meaning and mental representation, Dordrecht, Springer.
More than six decades ago, Dewey and Bentley suggested abandoning the words "meaning" and "mental" because they are confusing and of little use for understanding how human beings conduct their everyday affairs, whether this be in everyday situations or in the scientific laboratory.
