(1998) Philosophical issues in nursing, Dordrecht, Springer.
A glance at the major journals of nursing research and scholarship reveals that, increasingly, nurses are turning to philosophy and to philosophers in their efforts to provide secure theoretical foundations for nursing theory and practice. The present volume provides further evidence of the existence of that attempt and gives an indication of its character. All of the contributors are involved in nurse education, all have qualifications in either nursing, philosophy, or both, and all have a serious research interest in philosophical aspects of nursing.
