This essay explores continental/postmodern theories ofplace, or lived-space, as regards the role of mathematics,objectivity, and the relativist dilemma that afflicts thelived-space movement. By employing a geometric approach, such asMinkowski pioneered, it is argued that the lived-space theoristscan gain a better insight into objectivity of spatialrelationships.
