Conversation with Husserl and Becker, 24/6/31

Dorion Cairns

pp. 1-2

Yesterday at eleven-thirty I saw Husserl for the first time since my return to Freiburg. He seemed much the same as five years ago; hair a little grayer, and hearing a little less keen, especially for my low-pitched voice. Becker1 was there when I arrived. Apparently he was seeing Husserl for the first time since the latter's return from lecturing in Frankfurt, Berlin, and Halle. After a few friendly inquiries, Husserl continued to speak on the general theme of that trip.
