Discussion
illuminating "blind spots" for the health service providers
Christine Durham , Paul Ramcharan
pp. 179-202
A discussion of study implications is presented and, since this study, was completed in 2012, relevant literature since that date is referenced and their relevance to practice emphasised. We show how, when people with ABI return to their homes and community, there is a huge difference in their roles and tasks, interactions, engagement with the environment and relationships compared to prior to acquiring their injury. The change represents an acquired ‘injury to life’ and to their identity not just a ‘brain injury’!
