The nature of empirical-scientific knowledge in general, and of medical knowledge in particular, is currently undergoing a pervasive transformation likely to mark the end of epistemology, including the type developed in preceding chapters. In what follows, we shall outline this imminent transformation by presenting a theory of technoconstructivism . Because of the significance of the issue we must be painstakingly precise.
